Seed Animation

I met up with Jason Purvis recently – a producer I've known for many years at various companies like Ortmans Young and EMAP (now The Box). He is now Executive Producer at Seed Animation Studios.

Along with Jason, Seed is comprised of creative director Morgan Powell and technical director Neil Kidney who moved to Soho from Middlesbrough in 2007. Seed have done some great work in this time - there is a lot of humour and warmth in what they do. I urge you to check out a spot called "MTV Qoob" on their playlist page - about a first aid guy that gets it all wrong and does more harm than good.

Here is a recent example of their work - an ident from a Qatar based children’s channel called JCC. Seed were approached by Radiant Studios to realise their designs for a series of 6 channel idents, on screen graphics and promo elements. You can see the rest of these on their homepage

It looks like they had fun working on this one.
